The Crucible Acts 2-3

We started reading Act 2 in class on Tuesday 05/09. We will read through as much of Act 3 as we can on Thursday 05/11. What we do not finish in class is homework as you have a quiz over Acts 2-3 on Friday 05/12.

After the quiz, start reading Act 4.  We will finish the play and take a quiz over Act 4 as soon as we finish reading it, Monday 05/15.

There will be an in-class essay over 1-2 of the characters on Tuesday 05/16. Finish character charts prior to that essay to be prepared.

Testing & Crucible Reading

Some classes finished Act 1 on Friday.  Others did not.

Students will be completing the final standardized testing round for the state on Monday.  Classes that did not complete reading on Friday should finish it on their own before class on Monday.

All classes have a quiz over Act 1 on Tuesday 05/09. Students can use the optional study guides and mandatory character charts on the quiz.

Borger will check character charts on Tuesday as well.

We will begin reading Act 2 after the quiz. If you are absent, you are responsible for keeping up with the reading and will be required to take quizzes when you return.

The Salem Witch Trials

Students will start reading The Crucible this week.

Students will view a portion of a film on the Salem Witch Trials & take notes on Monday, 05/01.

Students will  read introductory material in The Crucible. Read page 4, and pages 6-8.  You can take notes to use on a short quiz over this material tomorrow, 05/03/17.

We will begin reading the play Wednesday this week.
