New Year! 2023-2024

WELCOME BACK!

Unlike previous years, you do NOT get a new teacher for English 3: you’re stuck with Borg for a whole ‘nother school year!

(cue celebratory music or sad trombone – your preference)

English 3 focuses on American Literature. We will be starting with the beginning of America & the Salem Witch Trials. But first we have to get back into the grove of things.

There will be interruptions, schedule changes (make them by Friday of the first week), class meetings, evacuation drills, etc.

We will go over class rules (and take a quiz), Borger Course Syllabus 2022.

You will also:

  • Write a letter to your future self
  • Read a letter from your past self
  • Clean out and organize your email and Google drives (so find and charge your Chromebook)
  • Honors English 3 will quiz and do activities over their summer novel, A Brave New World

All English 3 students need a blue/black ink pen and a single-subject notebook. You will no longer be leaving notebooks in a class folder, but you will occasionally turn your notebook portfolio in for grading so bring it with you to every single class period.

Ready or not, here we go!
